find out who are really the ones who will stick by you and will not abandon you
when you're down and low...
and those who leave you by the roadside the moment you are beaten down by life...<br parents do.
Let me tell you my case...
To my dad,
religion is a sensitive issue
and my family has been going to this place of worship that I just can't get myself
to have faith in...
I mean, I can't force myself to have faith right?
I feel that religion to me is very important too
and my faith lies somewhere else (I won't mention to avoid any serious conflicts)
My dad always tells his friends
"Religion can't be forced..."
so why isn't he respecting my decision?
I really don't understand...
Once, he got mad at me for listening to a CD which sings of my faith
he practically snatched the CD from the player and threw it into my lap,
saying it was all nonsense...
he never knew the fury burning in me than...
I don't like it at all when my dad never practises what he preach
he says one thing and he himself does another...
he critises my faith...
I get really angry
but what can I do?
retaliate?
things will only get worse...
sometimes,
I wonder if I ever dare raise my fists at him...
I just wanna hurt him the way he has hurt me...
but I won't...
I don't think so...

Parents always expect their child to ace in their studies...
and if you fail,
it only means you were not studying...
what nonsense is that?
I have seen many cases where kids study like hell..
but end up getting grades far worse than those who never study.
I think parents are putting too much pressure on kids...
and they don't understand kids at all..
maybe thats why some kids turn to drinking, drugs, smoking, prostitution...
the list is endless...
maybe it could be the kid's lack of moral values...
but what if it is because the kids cannot seek the comfort and security
he needs from his parents?
he consults his parents with a problem and probably gets critisized for even having
that problem...

some teenagers are bitter and hard,
either because they've lost all hope in life,
or because they've been hurt in their earlier childhood...
child abuse...
that's not very rare as we think it is
many cases are not reported...
and many are revealed years later...
father drunk,
frustrated with financial problems,
hits child...
child doesn't meet parent's expectations,
hits child...
child is ALWAYS in the wrong,
hits child...
surely you can't deny that there have been times when parents just don't understand
why you do the things you do...
they critisize for something that you're not even doing wrong...
I hate it..
I hate it when I see teenagers misunderstood by parents and society...
society scorns at juvenile delinquencies...
but really..
are all those a result of heavy critisism from society and family?
only you know yourself...<br
